Graham Martin Supply Chain Excellence Manager, Pfizer

"With the emerging markets especially in Africa, there is a very low health cost per person. So in logistics we have to look for cost effective solutions that will last the journey and the profile. It is very important that we meet that for that particular region. Logistics can be complex in those areas, so you have road transport and air links etc. So that is something we are all very wary of and the end of the day its the product efficacy and the getting to patient supply on time and obviously patient safety is paramount to that," Martin says.
